Making Purchases On PayPal

Have you ever had a charge on your PayPal account that you didn’t authorize? Well here is a small step by step guide to insure you don’t have any unauthorized recurring charges on your business or personal PayPal account this holiday season! 

·         Login to your PayPal account and go to “Profile” and a drop-down will appear (profile is located on the fare right second row (grey) navigation bar)

·         Click on the “More Options” in the drop-down

·         In the left column click on “My Money”

·         Click on “Update”  in the My preapproved payments section

·         Look over all the listed Merchants (whom you purchased from)

·         Look over every merchants “Status” making sure none of them state “Active” for this means that that merchant is able to go back in and charge whatever they like (stray charges).

·         If you have an active Merchants status that you need to change click on the merchants name

·         Third line down should state “Status” click on “Cancel” 

After every purchase you make through PayPal make sure to go through this process. Yes, this is a pain in the rear, but not as painful as having to dispute “Stray Charges” with PayPals customer service reps or your personal financial institution.
