Scottsdale Arizona Painting Contractors Going Green with Eco-Friendly Paints and Coatings

Scottsdale Arizona has been the leading force in driving the Go-Green initiatives and Eco-Friendly Painting Contractor standards across the entire state. One of the first projects that started the ball rolling was a 2002 Project called “Friends of the Scenic Drive”, a 6.5 mile stretch of road in need of paint to protect, preserve and beautify about 140 different objects along the road.

In 2002, There were only 2 paint manufactures in the U.S that met the rigorous paint standards which the City of Scottsdale drafted for the Industrial Strength Eco-Friendly Paints required to do the project. That decision was made because of two major advantages the other didn’t have:

1. Certified Sustainable Manufacturing Processes.

2. Water Conservation

I know first hand, my name is Edward Mugits, and I was the Plant Manager for Kelly-Moore Paint Co. the Eco-Friendly Paint Manufacturer who was awarded the project . I was also the program developer and corporate sponsor who implemented the certified Sustainable Manufacturing Practices in all Kelly-Moore manufacturing plants.
